GRATITUDE

o   Big ‘Thank Yous’ to the Music Advisory Group for putting on the Gratitude and Inspiration Choral Workshop weekend with Paula Roberts and to the Westwood Endowment Committee for providing funding.  They sounded great on Sunday!

o   The Westwood of Your Imagination session on March 1 got people to put on their thinking caps and brainstorm the hows and whats of Westwood going forward.

o   One of the results from Your Imagination is a Summer Solstice Ritual and Block Party, so mark your calendars for Saturday, June 21 and contact Cassie or the board if you can help with planning and ideas.

o   Dean Wood & Susan Anderson have graciously agreed to be the Westwood delegates to the national Canadian Unitarian Council (CUC) Annual General Meeting on the last day of May.  We look forward to connecting with the CUC.

CELEBRATION

Answering the Call of the L…unch!  Sunday, March 23, you are cordially invited to a catered Stewardship luncheon to celebrate Answering the Call of Love following the March 23 morning service with the Reverend Carly Murlor (live via Zoom), one of the authors of the Church of Our Imagination poem.

SERVICE

The Westwood Board is a critical part of this congregation for many reasons – is it your turn to serve?  If you have any questions, please ask any current (or former) board member between now and the Westwood annual general meeting on May 25.

FUN!

UUs on Tap – informal get-togethers, run by Rev. Rosemary at Unitarian Church of Edmonton, runs the last Wednesday of the month, 6:30 PM at 3 Vikings restaurant.  For those who prefer not to drink alcohol, there are non-alcoholic options and lots of food to try.

Mark your calendar

Sharing Our Faith is a special collection that goes to the CUC and funds, in part, their grant program.  Westwood’s streaming technology was partially funded by this program and June 1 will be our chance to give back and the bonus is that Rev. Anne will be speaking live at this service (likely via Zoom)!

NEXT BOARD MEETING: Monday, April 14 (Budget) & Wednesday, April 23 (regular)
