Topic: 3000-year-old Solutions to Modern Problems
Prior to colonization, Indigenous peoples intentionally engineered their environment to grow food and provide lush pastureland for the buffalo and other creatures. Their practices ensured that the land would support their descendants for countless generations. Lyla June Johnston, PhD, from the Diné (Nakota) of the southern US, will talk about these practices and whether a return to Indigenous ways might save us from our present Climate Crisis.
