Topic: Rebuilding the Web

Gray Jones is an environmental activist with a long and storied career in environmental protection.

In the early seventies, before Greenpeace was a thing, Gray was involved in the creation of one of Canada’s first environmental groups — SPEC (Society Promoting Environmental Conservation), and from there he expanded his expertise into becoming the Greenpeace Toxic Chemical Coordinator, an Environmental Coordinator for the BC Forest Service, and here in Alberta, the Executive Director of the Western Canada Wilderness Committee.

He’s been involved with The National Geographic Society, and Karvonan Films. We’re excited to hear his thoughts on the Interconnected Web of Life, how it’s becoming frayed and broken, and what we can do to help remediate it.

Meaning Making January Worship Theme is Active Engagement.
