Beyond Land Acknowledgements – Speaker’s Series
Westwood hosted 41 people in-person, sharing soup, bannock, and connections, for Ron Lameman’s talk. It was great to see many new faces in the building!
Solstice
Look for our electronic ad for our Winter Solstice at the University LRT station and the Southgate station. We are excited to see if this brings in new people. Because of space limitations each person coming through the door must register for a (free) ticket through Eventbrite. If this is difficult for you please let our admin know (info@westwoodunitarian.ca). Volunteers and Harmonia members will be registered via their leaders.

Are you interested in Earth-centred celebrations?

For Halloween…
…we gave away 55 packages to children and adults getting the word out about Westwood. Packages contained a chocolate, a fridge magnet and a laundry strip. A very good success so we plan to repeat it next year.
Reverend Ndagajimana
Westwood will be helping Reverend Fulgence (now transitioning to a new name: Mwibutsa) raise funds for The Flaming Chalice International programme at a service in January. This will have a focus on children. The Board has also agreed to support his request for funds to support
families in Burundi and Rwanda with donations of $250 per family which will cover each family for a two-year period. More information is coming in the New Year.
Welcome Back!
We officially welcome Mitch Walden as a returning member to Westwood.
Upcoming
Watch for details of Games Nights-coming up in the new year.
Sunday Greeters
We would like to start once again to have a greeter every Sunday morning for our services. Would you like to take on this role or be part of a small team doing this? Talk to Lorian or email president@westwoodunitarian.ca.
