Discovering Inner Harmony: The Transformative Power of Kirtan – Music For the Spirit – Sunday Service
A compassionate community of free religious thought, inviting all people to rest, grow, and serve the world.
Westwood’s Music For the Spirit Series continues with this uplifting and meditative service.
Kirtan is a very simple & powerful way to meditate. It’s effortless & joyful; the music does the work for you as you flow with the melody & rhythm. The musicians & the kirtan-goers create the experience together. The chants are often sung in Sanskrit. The ancient chants contain powerful renewing & transformative energy that helps us reconnect with the Divinity that resides within all of us.
Singing is the heart of kirtan, all voices merge together to become One Voice. Kirtan is a means of finding our way back to the core of our Being, to our heart, and to our connection with each other.
Randy, Ruth and friends look forward to bringing this experience to Westwood.
Westwood runs weekly services, September through June, bringing a variety of speakers on a wide range of topics. Please check back for updates on this Sunday’s service.
There is an opportunity for ‘social time’ in person (with coffee) or online following the service – a time to connect with friends old and new.
