Love Songs for Friends and Foes – Sunday Service
A compassionate community of free religious thought, inviting all people to rest, grow, and serve the world.
In 1956, Pete Seeger recorded an album called Love Songs for Friends and Foes. In our world full of division and social media rage and on this fourth Sunday of Advent, where love is the theme, we do well to reflect on Pete’s message and the context in which he made it. We might even learn something (aside from some great songs). Bring your voices and be prepared to sing.
Westwood runs weekly services, September through June, bringing a variety of speakers on a wide range of topics. Please check back for updates on this Sunday’s service.
There is an opportunity for ‘social time’ in person (with coffee) or online following the service – a time to connect with friends old and new.
